Scuba Diving At Poor Knights IslandsScuba Diving At Poor Knights Islands

Do you enjoy descending into the depths of the ocean?

The Poor Knights Islands are internationally recognised as one of the best sub-tropical diving spots in the world and should be on every diver’s ‘must-do’ list.

Join us for a fanstastic day scuba diving around the Poor Knights Islands.

You should plan to arrive at about 8am from your local accommodation either via your own transport or by the free bus we provide from Whangarei.

scuba diving open water courseYou will sign in and get kitted out at our land based headquarters in the heart of Tutukaka.

By 8:45am you will be at sea on a twenty-three kilometre open ocean trip to the islands, on a fully licensed and surveyed boat with a professional skipper. We will have arranged your placement on one of our dive boats, according to your experience.

Your first dive site will be selected according to the weather. Our instructors will sit down and have an individual chat with you. We then find you a buddy if you don’t already have one.

Our guiding service is free of charge, and our groups are small. There are over one hundred dive sites to choose from. During surface interval we take you on a tour of the splendour of the islands, including a visit inside the world’s largest sea cave.

Enjoy our free coffee and soups or eat the delicious lunch we can arrange and then paddle in our kayaks around arches and caves. Afterwards, you will do your second dive at a different location.

You will arrive back at Tutukaka by mid afternoon.
